NTT Corp. has officially reorganized 28 companies -- including NTT Communications, Dimension Data, and NTT Security -- into NTT Ltd., an $11 billion business.
The reorganization had been expected since mid-2018. The newly organized NTT Ltd. business is not to be confused with NTT Data. Together, NTT Ltd. and NTT Data generate $20 billion in annual revenue outside of Japan, the company indicated.
Key takeaways include:
1. Talent and Location: NTT Ltd. is headquartered in London, employs around 40,000 people, and has offices across 70+ countries and regions.
2. Customer Reach: NTT Ltd. has more than 10,000 clients around the world, including organizations in financial services, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, energy & utilities, manufacturing, automotive and technology sectors.
3. Managed Security Services: Both Dimension Data and NTT Security were Top 100 MSSPs (managed security services providers) ahead of the reorganization, according to MSSP Alert.
In a prepared statement, NTT Corp. President and CEO Jun Sawada said:
“I’m delighted to announce that we launched NTT Ltd. today. When we combine the new capabilities of NTT Ltd. along with NTT DATA, we create a top five global technology and business solutions provider with US$20 billion revenues outside of Japan. Going forward, we will accelerate our execution as one NTT in order to contribute to a smarter and better world through digital transformation."
