With a fresh $25 million in Series C funding, MSP platform vendor SuperOps is launching a new endpoint management tool and expanding on its research and investments in its AI-based Monica tool that is used to help MSPs analyze their datasets.

The new funding round, led by March Capital with participation from existing investors Addition and Z47, brings SuperOps’ total funding to $54.4 million for the four-year-old company. The company provides an AI-powered, cloud-based unified remote monitoring and management (RMM) and professional services automation (PSA) platform for MSPs.

The new endpoint management and Monica tools are designed to help fuel the company’s expanding reach in providing new services to its MSP customers, Arvind Parthiban, co-founder and CEO of SuperOps told ChannelE2E.

“This latest round of funding empowers us to accelerate our innovation roadmap, expanding our platform's capabilities to better serve our customers,” said Parthiban. “We are intensifying our focus on AI-driven automation, advanced endpoint management, and robust security integrations, ensuring that MSPs can operate their businesses with unprecedented efficiency and effectiveness.”

These additional investments into product R&D will help SuperOps “ensure our speed of innovation remains high, and MSPs are equipped with the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly complex IT landscape,” he added.

How The New Funding Will Help MSPs and Customers

With the additional cash, SuperOps will broaden its AI capabilities within Monica, its contextual AI companion for MSPs, said Parthiban. “AI for us is a foundational technology and not just a feature. Our customers can expect enhanced AI capabilities that will directly support their growth and profitability.”

And the company’s new AI-powered IT endpoint management tool will allow SuperOps to expand its reach in the IT market and invest in offerings for internal IT teams as well, he said.

With the new investment money, SuperOps also will develop and expand its product AI capabilities to move towards predictions and recommendations to help provide MSPs and IT teams with their own custom-generated assistance, he said.

“For our partners, this investment opens up new revenue opportunities through strategic integrations, co-marketing initiatives, and expanded resources designed to drive mutual success,” said Parthiban. “We are committed to fostering a collaborative ecosystem where our partners can thrive alongside us.”

The money will also be spent to help the company expand into additional global markets.

Good Strategic News for SuperOps, Say Analysts

The new investment round comes at the right time for the MSP platform vendor, Shelly Kramer, principal analyst at Kramer&Co., told ChannelE2E. “Expanding offerings into the endpoint management space is a logical next step, providing yet another tool for MSPs and helping enhance their capabilities as a whole,” she said. “More broadly, however, do SuperOps' endpoint management capabilities surpass those of current vendors in the space? That remains to be seen. CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Trellix, Tanium, Microsoft Defender, and so many more have some great solutions, and SuperOps will be competing in a crowded space.”

Another analyst, Rob Enderle, principal analyst at Enderle Research, said the latest funding round is notable because it will allow the company to almost double its total funding since it began in 2021 while significantly expanding its capabilities. At the same time, the recent change in U.S. leadership in Washington seems to have quieted down similar funding announcements, at least for now, he said.

“I think the changes in government have put a bit of a pause on funding as VCs and investors take a wait-and-see approach, so they were lucky to get this done in a timely manner,” said Enderle.  “While this may result in a short-term distraction for the company as it staffs up, once done, customers should see a greater depth in the company and a broader portfolio of services.”

Fun With Funding: A SuperOps Funding Round C Easter Egg

SuperOps, based in Dallas, Texas, has about 200 employees, which the company expects to grow to about 230 through the latest funding round. SuperOps generates revenue through subscription-based pricing for its cloud-native platform, which is aimed at small- to mid-sized MSPs.

And the company has a sense of humor. To celebrate the cash infusion, SuperOps posted a must-watch video on its LinkedIn page in which several employees are interviewed about their wish list ideas for the $25 million the company received.

The ideas are creative and funny, from spending some of the cash to buy a theme park to host SuperOps team building activities, while another worker suggested paying for a massive flash mob that features a 50,000-drone light show. Other ideas included paying for an all-company trip to Ibiza, an island in the Mediterranean Sea, and paying for employees to fly only business class for all employee business travel.

In the end, CEO Parthiban shared his strategy for the money, but the creativity and humor in the video clip’s approach are refreshing.
