Thrive, a Top 100 Vertical Market MSP for 2018, has promoted Marc Pantoni to president and Michael Gray to chief technology officer (CTO). The moves come as the MSP, previously known as Thrive Networks, apparently gains more momentum under private equity owner M/C Partners.
Pantoni previously was CEO of Precision IT, which Thrive acquired in 2017. In addition to his ongoing role running New York operations, Pantoni takes on added responsibilities for service delivery, integration, operations & engineering, the company says.
Meanwhile, Gray is a decade-plus veteran of Thrive who has held multiple senior executive and engineering roles. Based in Massachusetts, Gray now oversees Thrive's technical product roadmap, as well cybersecurity, cloud, compliance & application development, the company says.
Thrive CEO Perspective, More M&A Coming?
In a prepared statement, CEO Rob Stephenson said:
"Thrive recognizes talent and hard work. The extraordinary capabilities that Marc Pantoni and Michael Gray have demonstrated throughout their tenures are the basis for elevating these two dedicated employees to critical positions. Congratulations to both gentlemen and it's my distinct pleasure to work side by side with each of them as Thrive continues our pioneering accomplishments in the next generation managed services space."
Stephenson and his team have successfully grown Thrive via organic and M&A moves. Thrive has more than 500 customers, and the vast majority of employees are engineers. During a recent MSP M&A Forum hosted by Kaseya in Florida, Stephenson hinted that the company is exploring more acquisitions.
