Accelerated Connections Inc. (ACI) has acquired OneConnect Services Inc. and Canopco to push deeper into telecom, cloud, managed and hospitality IT services. The moves essentially double ACI's revenue (though actual figures weren't disclosed) and diversifies the company's services across Canada.
According to ACI, the resulting company will support:
- over 1,000 fiber Ethernet connections;
- over 12,000 Hosted PBX and SIP trunking customers;
- multiple data centers across Canada;
- over 100 national retail brands; and
- over 1,000 hotels.
Moreover, the acquisitions will allow ACI to more effectively compete with Canada's largest incumbent telecom companies, according to ACI founder and President Michael Garbe.
Financial terms were for the deals were not disclosed.
ACI, launched is 2000, is a national provider of private IP connectivity and public Internet services—supporting data, voice, colocation and hosted IaaS services to approximately 27,000 connections across Canada, the United States and abroad, the company asserts. The company also offers a range of managed services.
