Auvik Networks, Continuum Explore RMM Software Partnership?

Share

Auvik Networks and Continuum are working on a potential partnership in the RMM (remote monitoring and management) market for MSPs, multiple sources suggest.

Auvik specializes in network-centric RMM. Continuum offers RMM that more specifically targets PCs and servers; the company also offers NOC (network operations center) and BDR (backup and disaster recovery) services for MSPs.

Assuming an Auvik-Continuum partnership actually surfaces, I suspect it will involve more than Continuum reselling Auvik to its partners. One potential scenario could involve Continuum's NOC monitoring Auvik services for MSPs, ChannelE2E believes.

I concede: The paragraph above contains lots of speculation and few firm details. But multiple folks suggest to me the two companies could be set to partner. And the timing sure sounds right, considering the Continuum Navigate 2016 conference starts Wednesday in Boston.

ChannelE2E has reached out to both companies for potential comment, and will update this blog if/when we have more details to share.

Auvik, Rivals Pursue Network RMM

Auvik has spent recent months on the road meeting with potential investors and potential IT alliance partners, source say. A reseller partnership with ConnectWise (involving LabTech) surfaced earlier this month.

Auvik has turned quite a few heads with its network-centric RMM approach. But the company isn't alone in that segment. NinjaMSP -- launched by former Dell and PacketTrap employees -- also has a network-centric offering. And LogicMonitor, which recently hired TekLinks veteran David Powell focuses on infrastructure performance monitoring -- including the network level.
