Auvik Networks is in the market pursuing Series A funding, but the MSP software provider may be mulling a company sale, multiple sources tell ChannelE2E.
Auvik develops an RMM (remote monitoring and management) platform for MSPs that's network-centric in nature. The company has integrations with Autotask, ConnectWise, Freshdesk, Kentik and Slack. Key MSP adopters include MyTechPartners, ITque and Thrive Networks, among other MSPs, according to Auvik's website.
Three separate sources from across the MSP industry tell ChannelE2E that Auvik has been in the market discussing a possible company financial event. Some sources suggest Auvik will be acquired within weeks.
Auvik Networks CEO Comment
Asked to comment, Auvik CEO Marc Morin points to the Series A funding discussions. He told ChannelE2E:
"Auvik is growing rapidly and we're currently out raising our Series A. We're also talking to many different channel and integration partners. We're moving quickly and aggressively to build out our channel partner program, and the talks we're having with synergistic companies in the space are part of that."
On one hand, the RMM market has been maturing and consolidating around software suites from larger companies -- including players like Autotask, ConnectWise, Continuum, Kaseya and SolarWinds MSP, just to name a few.
But on the other hand, a new generation of RMM players has been emerging -- filing in potential market gaps that the larger players potentially haven't addressed. In addition to Auvik, emerging players include Atera, NinjaMSP and LogicMonitor -- which just received a $130 million investment from Providence Strategic Group.
