Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT II, a real estate investment trust, has acquired a Charlotte, N.C.-based data center for $16.4 million.
The 100% leased colocation data center has 52,924 rentable square feet and serves customers across the Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia area in North and South Carolina.
Carter Validus has made multiple data center acquisitions over the past year. In fact, the company spent roughly $350 million on data center purchases in 2016, Business Observer estimates.
The company typically invests in colocation, cloud, wholesale, and enterprise-type data center facilities in the United States, including:
