Simpatico Systems, which offers IT services across Texas and several other states, has acquired Adage IT of Southern California. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Simpatico Systems' IT services include surveillance, life safety, audio, visual and security services. That expertise will now extend to Adage IT's customer base. Based in Lubbock, Texas, Simpatico also supports customers in Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado and Arizona. CEO Greg Bazar leads the company.

Adage IT, meanwhile, specializes in hosted voice, IT consulting and managed IT services. The company has about 10 employees in Southern California, but roughly four more hires could be added this year, according to The Santa Clarita Valley Signal (SCVS).

Jeramia Franklin, a senior network administrator at Adage IT, shifts to a virtual CIO (vCIO) role at Simpatico. TruMethods CEO Gary Pica, himself a veteran of building and managing MSPs, is an outspoken proponent of the vCIO role.

Simpatico is on target to have sales of more than $6 million by the end of the year, SCVS also reported.
