Venture Technologies has acquired WhiteLight Group, an Oracle ERP channel partner that offers on-premises and cloud services, the companies have confirmed. FlatWorld Capital, a private equity investment firm, is one of several companies that funded the deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Venture Technologies is an IT solutions provider based in Ridgeland, Miss. Acquiring Chicag0-based WhiteLight, founded in 2002, allows Venture to push deeper into ERP-oriented services -- spanning on-premises, managed services, hosting and cloud, the companies said.
Founded in 1986, Venture Technologies has offices in Alabama, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Wyoming. Venture also owns and operates certified Data Centers (known as VTCloud ) in Jackson, Miss; Englewood, Colo.; and Casper, Wyoming.

Venture Technologies, in addition to its PE relationship with FlatWorld, is supported by senior debt financing from Wells Fargo Commercial Distribution Finance and White Oak Global Advisors, and mezzanine debt financing from Spring Capital Partners, Bay Capital Investment Partners and Harbert Mezzanine Partners.
Oracle's channel partner ecosystem has experienced ongoing merger and acquisition (M&A) activity over the past year or so. In 2015, Emtec acquired Summit Technology, a managed and cloud services provider that has deep Oracle expertise. Similarly, Edgewater Technology acquired M2 Dynamics Inc., an Oracle Platinum Partner focused on enterprise performance management (EPM) and business intelligence (BI).
