Plenty of midmarket MSPs leverage LogicMonitor's performance monitoring platform. But now the company is expanding its platform to meet a "specific set of business needs" for enterprise service providers.
A new LogicMonitor Service Provider Platform, according to the company, enables faster client on-boarding and delivers improved issue-resolution time. Platform users, the company says, "will gain access to shareable dashboards, detailed reporting, and multi-tenancy which enables child account capability and granular role-based access control."
LogicMonitor isn't new to the service provider market. Over the past few years, LogicMonitor gained traction among midmarket MSPs that wanted scalable, on-demand offerings that either complement or fully replace traditional RMM (remote monitoring and management) platforms. However, LogicMonitor generally does not position itself as an RMM offering. Instead, the company has focused on deeper infrastructure monitoring for hybrid IT, DevOps, cloud and more.
On the business front, LogicMonitor received a $130 million investment from Providence Strategic Growth (PSG) in 2016. LogicMonitor has been using the money to fund global market expansion. More recently, the company launched LM Config, a configuration management solution for devices and applications. Also, the company hired UnboundID, RightNow and oracle veteran Michael Tarbet as VP of sales.
