Outsourcing and consulting firm The Planet Group, backed by private equity firm Odyssey Investment Partners, has acquired Strive Consulting -- a provider of management consulting, technology enablement, data and analytics services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Planet Group Acquires Strive Consulting: Business Backgrounds
The Planet Group, founded in 2009, is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois with offices in the U.S. and Europe. The firm provides professional services and human capital services to customers in such verticals as technology, diversified energy and engineering, accounting and finance, human resources, healthcare and digital marketing.
Strive Consulting, founded in 2016, is also headquartered in Chicago with offices in Atlanta, Columbus, Dallas and Minneapolis. The firm has more than 400 employees.

The Planet Group's Growth and M&A Activity
Strive Consulting is the sixth technology firm that Planet has acquired since 2018. In May 2021, The Planet Group launched Rokster, a consulting firm specializing in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, blockchain and business intelligence. Additionally, Planet in January 2021 formed Planet Technology, which which consists of legacy Planet technology staffing divisions and multiple acquisitions -- such as WinterWyman, I.T. Works Recruitment, Interactive Business Systems and OmniPoint Staffing.
