Like the classic "Have it Your Way" Burger King campaign, Infrascale continues to diversify its cloud strategy for MSPs and VARs. The latest move: Infrascale is now a Google Cloud Platform Technology Provider. Moreover, the company now offers a "fully-managed cloud backup and disaster recovery service" that provides guaranteed 15-minute failover of critical business applications, Infrascale asserts.

Take a closer look and you'll notice that Infrascale essentially offers multiple backup routes, which can lead to:

  • Infrascale's own cloud
  • Amazon Web Services
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform
  • Hybrid and private cloud destinations.

The strategy is somewhat akin to Continuum247, which was mainly an IBM Cloud solution -- though Continuum has been working to provide public cloud choices to MSPs. In stark contrast, rivals like Datto have maintained a focus on their own cloud build-outs.

Infrascale for Google Cloud Platform

Although the company isn't playing cloud favorites, Infrascale's latest push involves Google Cloud Platform. Early DR tests with the Google Cloud Platform demonstrate industry-leading boot speeds of virtual machines (measured in seconds, not hours), which translates to dramatically less downtime, Infrascale claims. "We’re the first company with a proper DRaaS solution on Google Cloud," asserts Dean Nicolls, VP of marketing at Infrascale.

Infrascale’s Cloud Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions are immediately available to North American-based Google Cloud Platform users. It will be rolled out across select international markets in the coming months, the company added.

Infrascale Partner Program

Infrascale hired Channel Chief Chris Sterbenc in July 2016 and launched a formalized partner program around October. True believers include midmarket VARs -- especially in the IBM ecosystem, Sterbenc asserts. Many of those partners target business divisions of Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies, he adds.

How is the partner program performing so far? Sterbenc certainly sounds upbeat. But we'll ask him for deeper details and more milestones next time we connect.
