We’ve made it to the last two days of 2024 and what a year it’s been for the service provider channel.
We saw the VMware partner program change dramatically following the Broadcom acquisition. There was a major IT outage caused by a CrowdStrike update. Kaseya created a bundle of essential MSP services and dropped pricing for it to $3.99 per endpoint. Late in the year the company overtook ConnectWise for PSA/RMM market share. CompTIA sold itself to private equity. And a California MSP was sued following a cybersecurity breach at a client.
As we look ahead to 2025, there’s a big trend on the horizon – artificial intelligence. Expect more MSPs to use it internally to gain efficiency and to sell project, consulting and managed services around AI to end customers.
