1. What kills M&A – Here’s an interesting LinkedIn post for today. Financial modeling coach Bojan Radojicic notes all the bumps along the way that could end up killing an acquisition. There are deal-killers on the seller side and also deal-killers on the buyer side. It’s a lot, and you can check it out here.

3. Evergreen plans event – Evergreen, the PE-firm backed acquirer of more than 90 MSPs, will be holding its own event in Austin at the beginning of March 2025. The company, which pitches itself as the permanent home for MSP businesses, is breaking away from what it calls the industry conference format of “one long commercial for vendor products.” This one is free for MSP owners and will feature industry experts speaking on topics from operations to sales to M&A. 4. MSP valuation secrets – This week is also a great week to catch up on some of the great content for MSPs across the many communities and media. If you are interested in M&A, you should also tune into Dave Sobel’s recent podcast with Nelson Gomes.
5. Evergreen’s big year – We’ve mentioned this before, but Evergreen is ending 2024 with 25 acquisitions of MSPs, including several in the UK and Australia. MSPs join the group under its Lyra Technology Group. The PE-backed company has opened up operations in these two countries over the last two years. ChannelE2E wonders if Evergreen might be eyeing other new markets for 2025. Hmm.
