1. IT spend for 2025 – Next year looks pretty good. Canalys is forecasting an increase in IT spend of 8% to $5.44 trillion in 2025. That’s an increase over 2024 which is currently projected at a 7.7% increase and marks the strongest growth rate since the post-COVID tech boom of 2021. Canalys projects that partner-delivered IT will grow by 7.1% to account for 70% of the total addressable IT market.

2. Open source PSA – Nine Minds (a Bellini Capital company) founder and CEO Robert Isaacs has been busy updating the free open source PSA he rolled out at IT Nation. A month ago the team updated Alga PSA on Github with new features and improvements. Three weeks ago a new version got scheduling, billing and project management. Each week the platform has gained greater functionality. Looking forward to seeing where this goes in 2025.
