Channel Brief: ConnectWise Loses Marketshare Lead for RMM

(Adobe Stock)

For the first time ever, dating back 29 years, ConnectWise has relinquished the number one market share slot for RMM (remote monitoring and management), Canalys reports. Kaseya is now number one for market share. That's a big deal.

The victory is mixed for Kaseya, however. Kaseya had fallen out of the Champions quadrant of Canalys' RMM/PSA Leadership Matrix in November. ConnectWise led that quadrant, and two new entries joined it -- NinjaOne and HaloPSA.

In a LinkedIn post reporting the new development, Canalys Chief Analyst Jay McBain noted that: "Kaseya focused 2024 on pricing and bundling with Kaseya 365, leading with 'unit economics.' ConnectWise focused on the Asio platform and the platform economics around it." He also noted that NinjaOne grew by 54% year over year, displacing N-able for the number three marketshare position.

Speaking of NinjaOne, stay tuned to ChannelE2E in the next few weeks for our special holiday gift to you. We've got an interview with NinjaOne's CEO Sal Sferlazza to come.
