Google Workspace Gets Covered by SaaS Alerts’ Respond

While most MSP customers have standardized on Microsoft 365, there are many customers that use Google Workspace. For instance, the education vertical uses the platform extensively.

It's demand from these big customers that spurred about six months of development at SaaS Alerts, the cybersecurity SaaS monitoring company, to extend its Respond module to provide automated remediation capabilities for Google Workspace for MSPs to provide to their end customers.

Jim Lippie, SaaS Alerts CEO, told ChannelE2E that about 10% to 20% of the market uses Google Workspace. Plus, a handful of really big customers need Respond for Google Workspace.

“We have partners who have tens of thousands of users in this market,” he said. Lippie estimates that about half of SaaS Alerts’ 1,100 partners have at least one Google Workspace customer.

While SaaS Alerts has always monitored Google Workspace, this is the first time the platform is adding automated remediation in the form of the Respond module to cover Google’s office suite.

Respond is one of three SaaS alerts modules. The other two are Manage and Report.

Respond for Google Workspace works the same way it does for Microsoft 365, Lippie said. It locks the account and removes all the session tokens when it detects an issue.
