Involta, a provider of IT services and end-to-end infrastructure, has acquired IT managed services firm ITLynk from Independence, Ohio. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This is Involta’s second acquisition of the year as the company looks to increase its footprint in Ohio. The company will retain all 18 of ITLynk’s employees, growing its team to 250 workers nationwide.
ITLynk offers IT as a service, workload as a service, virtual desktop services, and a suite of hosting services including disaster recovery. Those services will add to Involta’s end-to-end managed service offering and enterprise application hosting, the company said.
Cedar Rapids, Michigan-based Involta has been increasing its presence in Ohio. It acquired DRS in 2015, expanded its Akron Data Center, and is now building a data center in Independence.
Two months ago, the firm purchased BluPrairie, a cloud management and consulting company from Coralville, Iowa. BluPrairie's CEO, Michelle Bates was named to Involta's Chief Innovation Officer position as part of that deal.
