SAP has now organized its channel partner strategy around two pillars – Build and Run, which will be led by Sachin Vora and Nanette Lazina, respectively, the German software giant has confirmed to ChannelE2E.
According to an internal SAP statement shared with ChannelE2E:
"Sachin Vora, Vice President of Business Development, will lead our Build Team and focus on our aggregator partnerships (i.e. hyperscalers and Private Equity among others), influencer go-to-market and our Ernst & Young EOY program. Sachin and his team will identify new paths to revenue, build our SAP Midmarket brand awareness and lead our channel operations and partner strategy.
Nanette Lazina, Vice President Midmarket Channels, will lead our Run Team and focus on the management of our PartnerEdge Sell Partners and Partner Capabilities and Enablement groups. Nanette has been with SAP for 12 years, joining the channel 8 ½ years ago and leading our partners and team in the eastern half of North America for the past 2 ½ years. She has also been recognized by CRN Women of the Channel in 2018 and 2019."
The Build and Run ecosystem focus areas emerge just as former SAP North America Channel Chief Marc Monday exits to join Cisco Systems as global head of small business.
Amid those updates, SAP's midmarket strategy continues to be a partner-first initiative, a spokesperson for the software company says.
SAP Business Evolution
SAP CEO Bill McDermott has been shaking up the software company in 2019. His efforts have to meet key long-term profit and business performance goals set by activist investor Elliott Management.
McDermott revealed an SAP management and business shakeup in January 2019, though he insisted the software company remains in growth mode amid its shift to cloud-fueled recurring revenues.
The SAP Sapphire Now 2020 conference is scheduled for May 12-14 in Orlando.
