HOSTING, a managed cloud services specialist, has acquired Stelligent Systems, a provider of DevOps automation and continuous delivery solutions for Amazon Web Services (AWS), the companies have confirmed. Financial terms were not disclosed.

HOSTING, which launched UNIFIED Cloud services in 2015, gains more managed and professional services expertise, particularly for midmarket customers moving workloads to AWS, the company says. Stelligent co-founders Paul Duvall and Rob Daly will join HOSTING as CTO and executive VP of public cloud consulting, respectively.

HOSTING also has Microsoft Azure cloud expertise, and the company remains committed to a cross-platform cloud strategy that includes AWS, Azure and HOSTING's own offerings, the company pointed out.

MSPs and AWS DevOps: Growing Trend

Stelligent (Washington, D.C.) is an AWS Partner Network (APN) Advanced Consulting Partner. The company offers DevOps automation for AWS that "enables customers to continuously deploy their applications with greater speed, agility and efficiency." Stelligent launched in 2007 and has provided continuous integration/continuous delivery solutions on AWS since 2009.

H. Glenn Grant

Stelligent claims to be a one-of-a-kind company. In some ways that might be true. But a growing list of MSP-oriented businesses offer DevOps services for AWS customers. A key example is G2 Technology Group, a Continuum partner that caught our attention in 2015. G2’s CEO is H. Glenn Grant — a veteran of Thrive Networks, a well-known MSP that Staples once owned.

Meanwhile, this is the latest in a growing list of HOSTING acquisitions. The company earlier acquired NeoSpire (2011) and Ntirety (2014).
