A. Today’s Tech, Channel and MSP News

1. New board member - Managed service provider Entegration has appointed private equity firm TimeSquare Capital Management partner Michael Russell to its board of directors. Entegration CEO Art Gross told ChannelE2E that his Morristown, New Jersey-based MSP continues to be a bootstrapped organization and there’s no investment involved in this appointment. He said that they have added Russell for his experience in working with management teams at growing companies, which will be a significant asset to the MSP. 

2. New educational services - HIPAA Secure Now, a user education service from Entegration,  has announced a new line of Microsoft 365-focused offerings, promoting user engagement with ongoing Nano Tips or “Nanos” and expanding its training with new cybersecurity and productivity courses. Users can achieve certificates in fundamental Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams courses, and earn bonus points towards their gamified Employee Secure Score (ESS) from Microsoft 365 and Google cybersecurity training.

3. Cybersecurity integration - Open XDR software provider Stellar Cyber is introducing a new integration with Exium and their MSP-driven Zero Trust SASE Platform. This integration makes it easier for enterprise and MSSP users of the Stellar Cyber Open XDR platform to streamline comprehensive cybersecurity investigations, taking decisive response actions in Exium to maintain continuous protection of an organization's users, assets and data.

4. Cybersecurity partnership - CrowdStrike and HCLTech, a global technology company, have forged a strategic partnership to power HCLTech’s MDR solutions with the AI-native CrowdStrike Falcon XDR platform. The partnership will empower HCLTech to deliver the breadth of the Falcon platform, assisting organizations in cybersecurity transformation across device, identity, cloud, data, next-gen SIEM, and beyond, led and managed by HCLTech

5. Recognizing achievement upon retirement - Matthew Miau, TD Synnex’s longest-tenured director on its board is retiring after three decades of serving the IT distribution company.  Under his guidance, the company underwent transformative growth, including its initial public offering, conducting numerous strategic acquisitions, spinning off Concentrix Corporation, and completing Synnex’s merger with Tech Data. Miau’s career of impactful business ventures earned him the nickname “Mr. Joint Venture” in the Taiwan market.

6. Cloud, government provider partnership - Cloud security platform provider Wiz has joined the government IT solution provider company Carahsoft Technology Corp.’s Distributor Seller of Record (DSOR) Program. Carahsoft’s program combines the benefits of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Private Offers features from AWS Marketplace, along with Carahsoft’s contract vehicles, to provide U.S. Public Sector customers a seamless acquisition process for their cloud solutions. 

7. New executive appointments - Global technology solution provider, C1, has named Meghan Keough as the company's first chief marketing officer and Tamara Shaw its  first chief transformation officer. The company said the two executive promotions and new roles would be instrumental in driving the company's transformation and growth strategy.
