Prolifics, an MSP and IT consulting company, has acquired Tier 2 Consulting, an IBM Red Hat middleware partner in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

M&A: IBM and Red Hat Consulting Firms Unite
Tier 2, founded in 2001, is based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England. The company has 26 employees listed on LinkedIn. The Tier 2 team, backed by deep Red Hat OpenShift expertise, develops web and mobile applications, middleware solutions and custom software. The company became Red Hat's first Premier Middleware Partner for the UK and Ireland in 2014. Key customers include BMW, GlaxoSmithKline, King’s College London, Suzuki GB, Wolseley Group, EDMI, Evident Legal and Motability Operations, among others.
Prolifics, founded in 1978, is based in Orlando, Florida. The company has 1,147 employees listed on LinkedIn. The company provides consulting, engineering and managed services in such areas as cloud services; data analytics, privacy and governance; cybersecurity; application integration; business automation and more. Key partners include IBM, Red Hat, Data Sentinel, Senzing, Data Robot and Microsoft, among others.
IT Consulting Firm Buys Middleware Partner
