U.S. government services provider Perspecta has acquired Knight Point Systems from Reston, Virginia for $250 million.
The acquisition bolsters Chantilly, Virginia-based Perspecta’s cloud, cyber, digital transformation, and enterprise IT offerings, according to the company.
Founded in 2006, Knight Point is an end-to-end managed services and solutions provider focusing on cloud computing, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and “agile DevSecOps environments.”
Knight Point works with government agencies in the environment and energy, healthcare, labor, transportation, education, finance, and intelligence sectors. The company has more than 250 employees, all of whom will join Perspecta, according to president and CEO Mac Curtis.
Curtis also commented on the deal:
"This is a great first acquisition for Perspecta that fits within our capital allocation model and strengthens our capability set. We consider Knight Point to be complementary to Perspecta's culture and offerings, while accelerating our growth strategy."
Bob Eisiminger, chief executive officer of Knight Point, also commented:

Perspecta began operating in June 2018 after DXC Technology separated its U.S. Public Sector (USPS) business and combined it with Vencore Holding and KeyPoint Government Solutions to form the publicly traded Perspecta.
