Olo Acquires Omnivore Technologies

Olo is a B2B software-as-a-service (SaaS) company that develops digital ordering and delivery programs for restaurants, according to the company's website. Omnivore Technologies connects restaurants’ point of sale (POS) systems with technologies that improve efficiency and increase profitability, the company said.

Through the acquisition, restaurant customers will gain access to additional POS integration capabilities, new on-premises and payment features and an expanded technology partner network, the companies said. The acquisition will broaden Olo’s platform capabilities and allow restaurants to connect to more apps and technologies that they can use to streamline operations, improve efficiency, enhance guest experience and increase profitability, according to the companies.

The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022 and is subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
